The band
The frame first. The cross-section of your ribcage, the height the band sits at and the tension it holds are settled before anything above them is judged — a cup fitted over a band that is wrong is a cup fitted to nothing.
Six pieces cannot fit every body, and in lingerie the gap shows. A commission begins from your measurements: the pattern is drafted for you, argued with across three fittings, and kept in the atelier for everything you order afterwards.

Root width, seam angle and the curve of the wire against your chest wall, worked over the band that already fits. Most bodies are not symmetrical, and here that is not a compromise: the two cups are simply cut differently.
The last fitting is the one where nothing should change. Straps are set last, always last, and the piece is finished in its own cloth only once there is no question left open.
A commissioned piece cannot be returned or exchanged: it is cut to one body and fits no other. That is exactly what the three fittings are for — nothing is cut in your silk while a question is still open. Ready-to-wear is different, and comes back within 14 days on one condition.
The hygiene seal is a sealed strip attached to every piece worn against the skin. It must still be intact and unbroken for a return to be accepted — once it is removed, the right of return on that piece ends.
You will find it sealed into the piece where it sits against the skin — through the gusset of a brief, inside the band of a bra. Try everything on over your own underwear and leave the seal where it is until you are sure: once it is broken that piece cannot come back to us, and briefs cannot be returned at all.
